About Me

A man standing barefoot in a large, empty hall with metal walls, holding a metal tray with flower petals, flowers, and turmeric roots, smiling at the camera.

Namaskaram! My name is Shajesh and I was born in Kerala, south India in 1969.

Since 1990 I have been following a life of tantra yoga under the ancient Aananda Nath lineage.

The great knowledge of Tantra Yoga has been preserved and handed down from Guru to Guru and so it came to me.

Qualifications

In ancient times, the study of this ancient Vedic philosophy with a true Guru was not validated through certification. It was measured by the fruits of one’s own practice and the inner transformation that became evident to the outside. In the same way we can say that the behaviour of an individual says a lot about their inner state.

I don’t have any papers to reflect the tens of thousands of hours of sadhana (spiritual practice) and teachings from my Guru over the last 35 years. It took many years of dedication, discipline and devotion for me to obtain purna diksha (the last initiation of a student into becoming a teacher). Being a teacher is a great responsibility and one must live that which s/he teaches. It is not an academic pursuit.

Since 2008 I have been teaching both Indian and international students these precious teachings, including Tantric Japa Yoga as part of Yoga Teacher Training Programmes.

Just as my Guru taught me, it is my wish to share this great knowledge and sacred rituals with all those who are willing to learn.
